What To Watch
The Wizards lost last Monday, 104-99 in a game that wasn’t as close as the score indicated. Knicks rookie guard RJ Barrett scored 17 points and looked more comfortable than Washington would like. Perhaps Bradley Beal will return to play Friday and get more time to keep Barrett in check.
Moritz Wagner has started his NBA preseason on the right note, scoring 16 points last Monday and 21 on Wednesday against the Guangzhou Loong Lions. Wagner has come off the bench in the Wizards’ previous games so it wouldn’t be crazy to see him start.
Finally, let’s talk about that Marcus Morris flagrant foul on Justin Anderson. He wasn’t suspended by the NBA, but expect to see some tighter officiating when he’s on the floor.
