The Wizards are not playing any games until Monday. We’ll still have content daily on various things going on with the Wizards and Mystics. But here are the games of the day tonight through Sunday!
Friday’s Game: Clippers (24-20) vs. Warriors (31-14)
When: Friday, Jan. 18, 10:30 p.m. EST
Where: STAPLES Center, Los Angeles, Calif.
How to watch: ESPN
For the Warriors, center DeMarcus Cousins makes his season debut after tearing his Achilles tendon last year. This will be the first time we’ll see Golden State with their biggest free agent acquisition and Boogie seems open to just fitting in with what works in the Bay Area, from what I read by Warriors Wire’s Tamryn Spruill. Tamryn is also the site manager at Swish Appeal by the way.
For the Clippers, they are coming off a four-game losing streak. Our still-favorite Polish Machine Marcin Gortat will do what he can to fend off Golden State and get L.A. a much needed win.
Saturday’s Game: Lakers (25-21) vs. Rockets (25-19)
When: Saturday, Jan. 19, 8:30 p.m. EST
Where: STAPLES Center, Los Angeles, Calif.
How to watch: ABC
We remain in L.A. for Saturday’s game of the day. The Lakers have recently put some wins together though LeBron James is out. But James Harden has been on a scoring tear. If this holds up, it will be historic. Meanwhile, we’ll have a chance to see former Wizards point guard Austin Rivers represent Houston.
Sunday’s Game: Hornets (21-23) vs. Pacers (29-15)
When: Sunday, Jan. 19, 8:30 p.m. EST
Where: Spectrum Center
How to watch: NBA League Pass
We finish off the weekend with a game featuring a Southeast Division opponent in Charlotte as John Wall’s doppelganger Kemba Walker faces off against the Pacers with local product Victor Oladipo
FULL NBA SCHEDULE
Enjoy the weekend everyone.
