It is the new year! We wish you a Happy New Year now that it’s 2019 here in Washington, DC!
This calendar year figures to be a good time for a fresh start. Maybe you are starting a new job somewhere. Maybe you are going to try to get on a better fitness regimen. Whatever your New Year’s Resolutions are, stay committed to them all year long. Breaking old habits is very hard. So with something like fitness, force yourself to make time for exercise, even though your mind (and your body) may be saying otherwise.
The Mystics are in the middle of their offseason right now so their new year resolutions from a WNBA perspective will have to wait until the Spring.
But for the Wizards, they now have a chance to evaluate how good their talent is and works together without John Wall now that he is out for the season. I’d like to see Troy Brown Jr. and Devin Robinson get more playing time with the Wizards while Thomas Bryant has come into his own. Also, I hope Bradley Beal, Otto Porter, and Tomas Satoransky develop better chemistry in this second extended edition of “Everybody Eats.” Yes, I believe the Wizards need to rebuild. But that doesn’t mean that the Wizards should abandon playing basketball the right way. We will see the Wizards in action tomorrow.
Anyway, that’s all from me. Have a great start to the new year everyone!
