Happy Father’s Day everyone! Here are the main links from this past week:
Wizards get ready for NBA Draft this Thursday
The NBA Draft is on Thursday, June 21. The Wizards hold the 15th and 44th overall picks. To this point, the Wizards haven’t been rumored to trade the picks away. That is good news because the Wizards need more young talent on cheaper salaries.
- Rook6980 has a draft profile on Zhaire Smith and Marcus Atkinson wrote on Mitchell Robinson’s potential. Speaking about Smith, he took part in the Wizards’ Monday draft workout. They also held more workouts on Wednesday and Thursday.
- We have a couple more player evaluations. Alan Jenkins broke down Mike Scott’s season while I did the same for Tomas Satoransky.
- There will be a lot of NBA free agency buzz toward the end of June and into July. Osman Baig wrote about an offseason around DeMarcus Cousins. And Jake Whitacer asked how things could be like if LeBron James really signs with the Wizards.
The Mystics are still not where they need to be
The Mystics split their two games from last week. First, they beat the Connecticut Sun last Wednesday and lost to the Sparks on Friday. They are currently 6-5, sixth in the WNBA standings.

That’s all I have on the stories front. I hope you have a great Sunday and once again, Happy Father’s Day!
