What to look for
Will Kristi Toliver show more offense? The vet scored 16 points in the season opener but struggled in her last game going 3-10 from the field. We already know she’s got game but just want to see it consistently.
Don’t sleep on Indiana’s bench. This Fever team has depth. In their last game on Tuesday, Indiana’s reserves dropped 38 points against the Sparks. Their rookie and No. 2 draft pick in last month’s draft Kelsey Mitchell scored 20 of those points.
Can the Mystics come out strong? On Tuesday, the Mystics had a very rough start in their game against the Las Vegas Aces. They only scored 9 points in the first quarter and all of those buckets belonged to Elena Delle Donne. Washington’s going to need Tianna Hawkins, Ariel Atkins, and Kristi Toliver to show up at tip-off so they don’t find themselves having to chip away at a deficit.
They beat the Fever in their first regular-season game. So if they handle their business early on Washington should win their third straight game and remain undefeated before Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Lynx.
