New “Everybody Eats” shirt celebrates Wizards’ approach to playing well in spite of John Wall’s injury

Are the Wizards better without John Wall? Of course not, don’t be silly.

The Wizards might be playing their best ball of the season right now, but that says a lot more about John Wall’s health this season prior to undergoing surgery, and the team’s heightened sense of urgency, than it does about who he is as a player. When he’s healthy and able to produce at the level we saw in the 2016-17 season, he makes the Wizards one of the most dangerous teams in the league.

Still, one has to admit the last few weeks have been a lot of fun. Washington’s transformation from frustrating underachievers early in the season to exciting underdogs in recent weeks has re-energized the team and gotten the best out of what they have to offer. They’ve truly embodied the “Everybody Eats” approach to basketball with Wall out of the lineup.

Now, Breaking T is offering an “Everybody Eats” shirt to celebrate how the Wizards have stepped up to the plate with Wall out.

Believe it or not, the “Everybody Eats” mantra predates his injury. As most know by now, it’s a reference from the movie ‘Paid In Full’, but on top of that, Wall himself used the phrase on an Instagram post with his teammates back in September. It didn’t really catch on until Bradley Beal started using it to describe how the team had to adapt offensively without Wall in the lineup but still, he deserves some credit for getting the ball rolling on the concept that’s paying big dividends for Washington right now.
