Wizards at Cavaliers GameThread

The next edition of the Wizards’ most notable rivalry besides the Raptors (,... JAKE!) begins!

NBA: Cleveland Cavaliers at Washington Wizards
Troy Brown and the Washington Wizards are ready to play
Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

The Wizards are still on the road and they will face the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight at 7 p.m. EST. You can watch the game at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Washington Plus. Though the channel on television changed, things are still the same on the radio. Dave Johnson and Glenn Consor can be heard on 1500 AM or the Wizards mobile app.

The Wizards just acquired Sam Dekker, and I said something bold and obvious at the same time. He won’t play much even if his ankle wasn’t injured. That said, Dekker will likely play more minutes and could even be a regular starter if the Wizards begin a rebuild this season. In nine games, Dekker started in nine of them.

As much as I would like to call this the “Sam Dekker Revenge Game,” that is not happening. The Wizards’ backcourt and wing rotation is set for now. And Tomas Satoransky deserves to start with John Wall and Bradley Beal. Just make it happen Scott Brooks, please?

Anyway, that is enough from me. Enjoy the game and your Saturday nights everyone!
