It’s official. The Wizards announced during Saturday’s game against the Hornets that John Wall will miss the rest of the season for left heel surgery. The release said that he would get the surgery sometime “next week” which could mean sometime this week since we are in a new week.

To be specific about the procedure he will get, Wall needs a debridement (or a removal) of a Haglund’s Deformity, a bony growth that is at the point of the heel near the Achilles tendon where he had a chronic injury. So Wall didn’t just have heel pain like plantar fasciitis. He was at risk of a more serious Achilles tendon injury.

Here’s to a safe and speedy recovery John.
