Start off 2019 with a bang....

Start the New Year with a bang....LeBon gets his Big 3 and the Bullets get a chance to re-tool without throwing in the towel.

Three assumptions

1) This Bullets team is going nowhere and it will only get worse…..

2) LeBron’s biological clock is ticking….

3) If no SuperMax is to be offered….my assumption.….New Orleans has to trade AD

Three Team Trade: Lakers - New Orleans - Bullets

Lakers get…

Anthony Davis.

John Wall,

Tim Frazier,

Devin Robinson(trying to even out roster spots)

New Orleans gets….

Laker's 2019 1st round pick

Otto Porter

Brandon Ingram

Troy Brown, Jr.

Mykhailuk

Washington gets…

K.Caldwell-Pope

Rondo

Lonzo Ball

Etwan Moore

Moritz Wagner

Isaac Bonga

NO 2019 2nd round pick

Lakers automatically jump into the conversation with their "Big Three", Kuzma and their collection of vets. Without Wall, the Lakers don’t have the assets to get Davis without stripping their team….AD for Ingram, Kuzma, plus multiple 1sts leaves the cupboard bare.

AD and LBJ can't win a ring without some help….Wall and Kuzma could be that help.

New Orleans gets a proven shooter…assuming Otto is healthy…a proven young talent in Ingram who could hopefuly revert to last year’s numbers once he gets clear of LeBron, two young wings and the Lakers 1st. I’m not sure they can expect much more for Davis....1st round picks 3-4 years down the road....Rockets' recent offer..... aren't of much help

Bullets get two wings…KCP and Moore… who can contribute immediately, a possible replacement at PG with little risk….Ball’s contract is only guaranteed for one more season, and two young, low risk pieces in Bonga and Wagner who could develop nicely long with Bryant. Bonga, at only 19 and 6’8, could be great PG insurance if Ball never develops. Rondo could obviously contribute if healthy but if not in the plans could be released like Rivers…..I think?

The biggest benefit to the Bullets may be that they get their salary back….I think it moves Ted out of the tax and produces substantial flexibility next year and beyond.

If Brad makes AllPro and triggers the SuperMax, you have to trade him as well….he’s no more a top 5 player than Wall….but if he just makes AllStar then his contract is in line.

I actually don’t see this package as a Tank by the Bullets….this configuration could be better than our current group if only because of health and team chemistry.....they could actually become an attractive FA destination.

I would enjoy the change.
