What to Watch for

Second meeting of the season

The Wizards last played the Pacers on December 10, falling short in a 109-101. Although that game was only 13 days ago, the Wizards are looking a bit different coming into this game. Two weeks ago, John Wall wasn’t playing, Austin Rivers started the game, Otto Porter left the game due to an injury, Kelly Oubre Jr. scored a season-high 23 points, and Trevor Ariza and Ron Baker weren’t Wizards yet.

The Wizards need John Wall

In their last match-up, Wall didn’t see the floor as he was battling bone spurs in his left ankle. He missed Saturday’s game with flu-like symptoms which forced the Wizards to lean on Beal, Ariza, Green and Satoransky to play big minutes to make up the difference in Washington’s triple-overtime win.

If Wall is able to play, they’ll need him to be engaged on both ends to take the load off his weary teammates. Stuff like this can’t happen if he’s in the game.

A random moment in Wizards - Pacers history: Bradley Beal scored 25 points to lead the Wizards past Indiana in Game 1 of the 2014 Eastern Conference semifinals
