The Nets are coming into tonight’s game on a five game losing streak. Before we get too optimistic about a win, they beat the Wizards handily not too long ago. The Wizards’ offense was non existent except for Dwight Howard, who won’t be playing for while.
That said each of Washington’s next four games including this one is against their peers. The Nets, Knicks, Hawks, and Cavaliers are among the Eastern Conference’s worst teams. Washington must win all four of these if this season is going to turn around from a wins and losses perspective.
I’m not sure what much more we all can say in terms of a game plan to win games. But in short, they’ll have to improve their defense from abysmal (29th in defensive rating) to at least average. It’s probably too much to ask the Wizards to turn into an elite unit defensively, but being average should at least make them a playoff team...
Anyway, here’s hoping for a win.
