Daily Digits is a new daily feature we’re doing at Bullets Forever this year where we take a look at stats about the Wizards. We’ll dive into the numbers, add some context, and discuss how they affect the product on the court.
Today’s stat is John Wall’s record against the Magic since the start of the 2013-14 season, which is...
16-1
What’s even more impressive is Wall’s one loss against Orlando came in the game where he scored a career-high 52 points.
As familiar as the Magic have gotten facing the Wizards four times a year, and for as much damage as Orlando’s big men have done against Washington’s front line, Wall has always been the undeniable force that’s made it a lopsided series.
Problem is, most of the things we’ve come to trust about the Wizards have been thrown out the window early in this season. Wall’s dominance over the Magic is one of the last things the Wizards have left to cling to. If there’s any hope of turning this season around, it starts by taking care of business in Orlando on Friday.
