The Wizards play the Mavericks at 8:30 p.m. EST. you can watch the game on NBA TV nationally, NBC Sports Washington here in the D.C. area, and listen on Federal News Radio 1500 AM or the Wizards Mobile App.
Washington is about the begin a “lighter stretch” of their 2018-19 schedule, at least based on current wins and losses. The Mavericks are clearly in rebuild mode, a far cry from 2011 when they won the NBA title.
The most important thing for the Wizards tonight is to get a win streak going and see how far they can take things. If they want to quiet the “haters,” then we’ll need to see a convincing win from start to finish. Does the Wizards’ win over the Knicks last Sunday count? Kind of, but they managed to give up a double digit lead and get New York to tie the game a couple times before pulling away.
A team that’s supposed to be a Top-4 seed in the conference shouldn’t have to play its starters major minutes in games like that. Again, it’s early, but the Wizards still have to step up.
Anyway, that’s enough from me. Go Wizards!
