On Monday, the Wizards announced that Chasson Randle was recalled back to the Wizards before their two-game road trip, starting with a match against the Mavericks on Tuesday. To make room for Randle, the Wizards assigned Jordan McRae to the Capital City Go-Go.
McRae can only spend up to 45 days on the Wizards’ roster but will spend the majority of his time playing for the Go-Go. Randle also made a strong impression in the Go-Go’s debut, scoring 37 points, so he could provide something for the Wizards when his number is called.
Considering that he is not on a two-way contract and that the reserve guard rotation of Tomas Satoransky and Austin Rivers isn’t playing particularly well, this announcement is not too surprising. That said, Randle is still probably not playing regular minutes for some time. We’ll see as the Wizards’ season continues.
