The Wizards play the Raptors tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET. Watch it on NBC Sports Washington or listen to it on the Wizards Mobile App or Federal News Radio 1500 AM.
Washington has gradually woken up from an early slump where they have won four of their last six games. On the surface, that’s good. If the Wizards can keep this up, they will be in good shape to make a playoff berth.
This game is also an opportunity for the Wizards to get revenge on the Raptors, who beat them in last year’s first round playoff series. This season of course, the backcourt has changed now that DeMar DeRozan plays for the Spurs and Kawhi Leonard is suiting up in Raptor Red.
Toronto, like last season, is picking up from where they left off where they are in first place of the Eastern Conference. The Wizards are now 10th in the Eastern Conference but there is plenty of time, at least in principle, to see them move up the standings.
Even though the last couple weeks have been turbulent for Washington, let’s just root for the good guys and get win number seven. Go Wizards!
