What to Watch for

Washington is looking avenge its preseason opener loss

Both teams met last Monday for their first preseasons games and New York came out on top winning 124-121 in overtime. The Knicks are still undefeated this preseason after eking out wins over the Nets and Pelicans last week.

Markieff Morris, no techs please

Morris didn’t start the preseason off on the right foot after receiving two technical fouls and getting ejected after jawing at Mitchell Robinson. He responded on Friday with an impressive 13 point, 10 rebound performance in 26 minutes against the Heat after scoring no points and grabbing only 3 boards in his first game of the season.

The good news for the Wizards is, they won’t have to worry about Morris getting into it with Robinson again, since the Knicks’ rookie will miss the game with a sprained ankle.

More potential three-guard lineups

With John Wall starting to see an increase of minutes in the preseason, there will be more opportunities to see the three-guard lineups that Scott Brooks alluded to during training camp. “The more playmakers we can put on the floor the better for us”, he said.

If Brooks is serious about playing Wall, Bradley Beal, and Austin Rivers together, they need to get more opportunities to share the floor during the preseason so they’ll be ready when it counts.

A random moment in Wizards - Knicks history: Bernard King scores 44 at Madison Square Garden

Surely this is the first moment that comes to mind when they think about Bernard King at Madison Square Garden.
