Tonight, the Wizards play the Heat at 7 p.m. EST. You can watch the game on NBC Sports Washington and listen to the game on Federal News Radio 1500 AM or the Washington Wizards mobile app.
This game is a match between the two teams that figure to be among the favorites in the Southeast Division. Though the Wizards have more starter-level talent than the Heat, Miami won the division last year and is projected to do so again this season.
Friday’s game is also the first of three home games where the Wizards will host long-time Heat franchise player Dwyane Wade, who’s playing his last season in the NBA. Last season, he started with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but was traded midseason to the team where he spent 13 years. It remains to be seen whether Wade will keep playing in another professional league in the 2019-20 season.
But given that Wade is a Li-Ning athlete, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him play a year in the Chinese CBA, but he could provide an impact in the EuroLeague as well.
Let’s go for that first preseason win, y’all!
