Wizards waive Chris Chiozza, Lavoy Allen, Chasson Randle, and Tiwian Kendley

Washington Wizards Media Day

The Wizards announced on Saturday afternoon that they waived Chris Chiozza, Lavoy Allen, Chasson Randle, and Tiwian Kendley, who were all on training camp deals with the team.

Washington will enter the season with 14 of their 15 roster spots filled, not including Devin Robinson and Jordan McRae, who are both on two-way deals with the Capital City Go-Go that allow them to spend up to 45 days with the Wizards.

The four players who were waived may wind up staying close by. The Go-Go acquired Allen’s rights in the G-League expansion draft and acquired Randle’s rights in a trade the day after the expansion draft, so if they choose to play in the G-League this season, they’ll play for Capital City.

Candace Buckner of the Washington Post is reporting all four have been offered contract incentives to play with them, which would give Washington additional options if they need a player to address depth issues during the season.
