What to Watch for
How much will the Wizards invest in their final tune-up?
Last season, the Wizards hosted the Long-Lions in their preseason opener, which gave the team a nice way to ramp up their competitive juices before they faced NBA competitions. This time around, they get Guangzhou at the end of their preseason schedule, so there are different dynamics at play. Scott Brooks already said John Wall wouldn’t play in this one, and it wouldn’t be surprising if several other Wizards got the night off as well.
On the bright side, that means we’ll get to see a little bit more from the Wizards’ young prospects. If you enjoyed watching Troy Brown and Devin Robinson at Summer League, you’ll probably enjoy this one.
A random moment in Wizards - Long-Lions history: Jodie Meeks catches fire
Not a lot to work with here.
