The Wizards play the Pistons tonight at 7 p.m. ET in Detroit. You can watch the game on Fox Sports Detroit if you’re in Michigan.
Otherwise, we’ll have to stick to radio on Federal News Radio 1500AM or the Wizards online app for audio. And if you’re used to the way WNBA games are aired, you’re in luck with video streaming! Monumental Sports Network will air the game as well.
In today’s game, we’ll see John Wall and Blake Griffin, the top overall draft picks of the 2010 and 2009 NBA Drafts respectively. Griffin, at least early on was considered to have an inside track to being one of the NBA’s superstars. And to his credit, Griffin has backed that up on the court as the Clippers, his first team became a consistent performer for most of the past several seasons.
Of course, things change as the Clippers were never able to get to the Western Conference Finals, and now Griffin is in Detroit, who has only one playoff appearance since the 2009-10 season. With Griffin now acclimated to Detroit, it should be interesting to see if they can get into the playoff pack considering how wide open the East is this year. But for the Wizards, it is equally important to beat teams like Detroit consistently if they want to be mentioned as one of the conference elites.
Alright, that’s enough from me. Let’s go team and get three preseason wins in a row!
