Even in a down year, John Wall is just too good to keep out of the All-Star Game. He will be going to his fifth-straight All-Star Game, according to Chris Haynes of ESPN and Shams Charania of Yahoo.

He joins Kyle Lowry, Kristaps Porzingis, Kevin Love, Victor Oladipo, Al Horford and his teammate Bradley Beal as reserves from the Eastern Conference who will be included in the pool of players LeBron James and Stephen Curry pick teams from for this year’s game.

Wall and Beal’s inclusion marks the first time since 2008 that the Wizards have sent two players to the All-Star Game, when Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison represented the team.

As a Wizards fan, if you were hoping an All-Star snub might be the wake-up call the team needed to get back on track, this news might be a bit of a disappointment. Still, it says a lot about Wall and Beal’s overall talent that both were able to get selected to the game in the midst of an underwhelming season for the team as a whole.
