Czech Republic vs. Montenegro final score: Tomas Satoransky gets double double in 88-75 loss

The good news is that Satoransky is playing well individually. The bad news is that the Czechs are probably not in the Top 16.

The Czech Republic lost 88-75 to Montenegro on Monday in Group C play of EuroBasket 2017. Tomas Satoransky had his best performance since last Friday by getting his second double double of the tournament since he scored 13 points, dished 11 assists, and grabbed four steals.

For the Montenegrins, Magic post Nikola Vucevic dominated with a 17 point and 14 rebound performance in a victory that will probably clinch them a Round of 16 appearance. They lost to Spain badly last Friday, but put up a strong performance in a close 76-72 loss against Croatia yesterday.

Currently, the Czech Republic mathematically still has a chance to the Round of 16. But to feel confident about their chances, they need Romania to beat Hungary in today’s match and they have to beat Croatia on Thursday. Unfortunately, Monday’s loss to Hungary erased their room for error in group play.
