On Twitter, many users mention others in the hopes of getting a reply back. Many celebrities have Twitter accounts that they use regularly, so it’s a way to directly engage a celebrity in a way that we couldn’t imagine in the 20th century.
So Wizards Talk asked retired NBA star Kobe Bryant to give John Wall a challenge in the 2017-18 season earlier Sunday afternoon:
What's your challenge for John Wall @kobebryant pic.twitter.com/zki8BJqeZI
— WizardsTalk (@WizardsTalk) August 27, 2017
Within an hour, Kobe replied and gave his challenge:
1st team all defense https://t.co/zbee5KUe6h

Wall already made the NBA’s All-Defensive second team in the 2014-15 season, but hasn’t made any All-Defensive squad since. Wall’s already known as one of the NBA’s better perimeter defenders, so there shouldn’t be a reason why Wall can’t make the All-Defensive first team if he puts his mind into it.
To Wall’s credit, he accepted Kobe’s challenge:
Say no more !!RT @kobebryant: 1st team all defense
