The Washington Wizards have not unveiled their preseason schedule for 2017 just yet, but we know they’ll be hosting at least one game in Washington D.C.
The Cavaliers unveiled their preseason schedule on Thursday and it includes a trip to the newly minted Capital One Arena on Sunday, October 8 at 7 p.m.
Washington and Cleveland have played each other a lot in the preseason in recent years, but typically the games take place in Ohio, either in Cleveland or Columbus. This time around, the Wizards will get to host whoever happens to be on Cleveland’s roster by the time October 8 rolls around.
You may also notice the Cavaliers’ preseason schedule is only five games long. Don’t be surprised if that’s the norm around the league this season, now that the NBA season is starting a week earlier to allow more days for rest, in an effort to cut down on teams sitting players for rest.
