On Sunday, Marcin Gortat announced that he was in Iraq to meet and support Polish special forces:

Gortat has been very supportive of the Polish military. Polish soldiers have been part of the Wizards Polish Heritage Nights, including last season.
It’s great to see Gortat out there to support troops in Iraq. Though he had a little fun on an assault vehicle three years ago:
Though that was a light hearted moment, Gortat’s taking his meetings with the military seriously. Moreso than Polish, I mean Dutch EDM artist Mr. Polska....
