Jahlil Okafor

I was thinking of young centers that could have some untapped potential, and I thought why not Jahlil? He's not the greatest defender, and if he gets caught guarding a smaller guy on the perimeter, he could be exploited, but he IS 21 years old, has great size, and a blossoming offensive game. He also has great hands, a necessity when playing with Wall (something that Gortat hasn't always shown a propensity for) He averaged 12 and 5 in just 22 minutes last year. Imagine his numbers with 32-35 minutes game.

I've seen other trade ideas where people have proposed Andre Drummond and DeMarcus Cousins trades, but that would cost an arm and leg that we don't have, and for how much more production? I think the best part is that he could likely be had from Philly for virtually nothing. Mahinmi or Gortat should get a deal done, as Philly could use a veteran backup C who could step in and start if/when Embiid gets hurt.

What do you think?
