Wizards vs. Celtics Game 7 postgame reaction thread: The season’s over

So ... the season’s over. Congratulations to the Celtics for advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Also, let’s give the Wizards a pat on the back for an amazing season of their own. They won more regular season games than any team since the 1970’s, before most readers were born. They also started out this season 2-8 and left for dead. But this team also showed amazing resolve to win 17 straight games at home and clinch home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. That’s nothing to sneeze at.

I get that the Wizards ran out of gas in the fourth quarter. And it was frustrating to see that the bench didn’t play very much. But let me be clear on this: do not go to CelticsBlog to troll.

We’ll certainly have more detailed postmortems in the days and weeks ahead. But yeah. The season’s over.
