Larry King is one of cable television’s icons. He hosted Larry King Live on CNN for 25 years from 1985-2010. Since then, he still hosts a talk show that can be seen online at Ora TV, on RT America, or Hulu. Besides interviewing politicians and celebrities, King shows that he is an NBA fan, just like the rest of us.
On Monday night, he gave a shout out to the Wizards — and a jab at Warriors forward Kevin Durant:
Take a look at the @WashWizards record. Do you think Durant is a little upset he didn't go back to his home town?
— Larry King (@kingsthings) March 13, 2017
To be fair to Durant, he never wanted to play in Washington to begin with. But King has a point. The Wizards are doing really well right now (#1 in the Power Rankings anyone?) while the Warriors have lost five of their last seven games, including on February 28 against the Wizards on the road.
It doesn’t stop there, though. After playing one minute in that game, Durant hyperextended his knee after Zaza Pachulia collided into him and got a left MCL sprain. Unfortunately for Durant, he will be out until the NBA Playoffs are underway.
My takeaway? Right now’s a great time to be a Wizards fan. Enjoy the national love everyone!
