What to Watch for
In their heartbreaking OT loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday, three Wizards starters logged over 40 minutes (Wall 44, Beal 45, Otto 45) and Gortat logged 35 minutes. With only one day to rest before Wednesday’s game, look for the bench to play a lot of minutes against the league-worst Nets. The Wizards play another important game on Friday against the the Indiana Pacers, so you can bet Scott Brooks will want to do what he can to keep his key players well rested.
After such a tough loss to the Cavaliers on Monday, how will the Wizards respond? Will they still be sulking or will they want to rush out to put up 40 points on the Nets and not take their foot off the gas? We’ll find out very quickly in this one.
More John Wall Highlights
For some reason this season, Wall has had some of his most insane crossovers and passes against the Nets. For example, every single clip here. I am really hoping to see some behind the back layup/passes, maybe a really nice crossover. Ya know? something to lift my spirits :).
Most Likely Wizards Killer: Sean Kilpatrick
Kilpatrick is one of those players on the Nets who you see and say, “Oh yeah, he's a player in the NBA,” and then you get on with your day. But he had quite a presence in the first game these two palyed in Brooklyn. He went off for 21 points while making two-thirds of his shots and going 2-4 from deep. Don’t be surprised if the home court advantage favors Kilpartick and the Nets shooting once again.
