Five Wizards trade ideas that accomplish nothing and serve no discernible purpose

NBA: Los Angeles Clippers at Washington Wizards Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

The NBA trade deadline is right around the corner. At this time of the year, a lot of people will try to play NBA matchmaker, trying to help teams work out deals so everyone can reach their goals.

Not me.

I'm not trying to grab headlines, I'm just trying to make a bunch of trades with the ESPN Trade Machine that don’t do anything for anyone. Let’s go:

Trade idea #1: Danuel House for Georges Niang

Not sure which team would walk away more convinced they got the better end of the deal here.

Trade idea #2: Trey Burke for Michael Carter-Williams

Remember when Carter-Williams and Burke were both named First Team All-Rookie? Crazy how things change.

Trade idea #3: Andrew Nicholson to the Nets

I don’t even know what to say here.

Trade idea #4: Bryn Forbes to the Wizards, Daniel Ochefu to the Grizzlies, Troy Williams to the Spurs

If you were handing out trades and gave any team in this trade anything more or less than a C, you’re probably overthinking it.

Trade idea #5: Mindaugas Kuzminskas, Sasha Vujacic, Ron Baker, Marshall Plumlee and Maurice Ndour to Washington for Trey Burke, Marcus Thornton, Daniel Ochefu, Sheldon McClellan, and Danuel House

This is the Washington - New York mega trade everyone has been clamoring for this season.
