Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper is one of Major League Baseball’s top stars. As such, he’ll be one of baseballs most sought after stars after the 2018 season when his current contract expires. Fortunately, Washington has exclusive rights to negotiate with Harper until the end of next season, according to Jorge Castillo of The Washington Post.
Like ... Kevin Durant was a couple years ago, Harper’s every move is scrutinized. He made one earlier Wednesday when he complimented the Wizards’ new “District” uniforms:
Why don’t the @Nationals have a jersey that says The District across it like the @WashWizards jerseys? That new “city” one is fire! #DCfamily

To me, it’s pretty clear what Harper wants. Come on Nats, make a “District” uniform for them next year! It’s the least you can do to get an edge in the free agency race!
