John Wall had a rough go against the Cavaliers Friday and it won’t get any better on Sunday. Wall is out against the Raptors after suffering a shoulder stinger on Friday, according to Candace Buckner of the Washington Post.

Wall suffered the stinger against the Cavaliers when he tried to split a trap in the second half. He continued playing through the injury despite being him not being able to move his arm much after the initial contact.
After the game, Wall said it felt like his shoulder was “on fire.”

Tim Frazier, who is playing through a left wrist injury, will start in Wall’s place. We can expect to see Tomas Satoransky getting some time at backup point guard and Bradley Beal handling the ball in spots.
The Wizards will struggle without Wall in the lineup, but it’s good to see him actually sitting this one out. Though the Wizards are struggling, the season is long and its still early. Wall hasn’t played particularly well by his standards through the last few games shooting a 46 percent effective field goal percentage and 46 percent from the free throw line.
Some time away to get healthy and shake off this cold start could be a good thing for Wall and, hopefully, the Wizards in the long run.
