Bradley Beal and Draymond Green ejected after fight in second quarter of Wizards - Warriors game

NBA: Washington Wizards at Golden State Warriors Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Hoo boy. Things always have a way of getting intense and chippy when the Wizards and Warriors tangle, but things escalated to a whole new level in the second quarter of Friday night’s game when Bradley Beal and Draymond Green got into a fight near the Wizards’ bench:

Not surprisingly, both players were ejected from the game. It will be interesting to see what kind of follow-up punishment the league hands out to Beal. It would be a pretty rough blow if Beal gets suspended for Sunday’s game at Sacramento. That’s one of those things that can turn a likely win into a potential loss.

However, Beal may not be the only one impacted. It also appeared like Markieff Morris and Carrick Felix left the bench to defend Beal, which based on recent precedent should draw an automatic one-game suspension.

Granted, Morris is still recovering from injury, and Felix hasn’t played a single minute this season, but it’s still worth noting.

Kelly Oubre inadvertently punched John Wall during the fracas, but it appears like he got Klay Thompson as well during the fight. If he’s also suspended, that could be a major blow for Sunday’s game.
