The Wizards are a consensus Top-10 team in NBA Power Rankings

The Wizards start their regular season tonight against the 76ers after the league’s official kickoff last night as the Cavaliers beat the Celtics 102-89, while the Warriors lost to the Rockets, 122-121 after their ring ceremony.

After an offseason where many stars changed teams while the Wizards doubled down on their core, the consensus is that the Wizards are the best team in the East, after the Cavaliers and Celtics though things may change after new rankings take Gordon Hayward’s dislocated ankle and fractured leg injury into account.

So, here are some NBA Power Rankings and where the Wizards rank as they begin their 2017-18 season:

Power rankings are a good way to see where teams are perceived to be at any point in the season. But of course, the most important thing is what happens in the standings. In short, folks around the NBA believe the Wizards are going to be one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference this season. Now, it’s up to the players to make that a reality starting tonight.
