The Washington Wizards announced their slate for the 2016 preseason on Thursday afternoon. Here’s the full schedule:
Date | Opponent | Location | Time | TV |
---|---|---|---|---|
October 4 | Heat | Verizon Center | 7:00 pm EST | CSN |
October 6 | 76ers | Wells Fargo Center (Philadelphia) | 7:00 pm EST | CSN |
October 10 | Knicks | Madison Square Garden (New York) | 7:30 pm EST | CSN |
October 13 | 76ers | Verizon Center | 7:00 pm EST | CSN |
October 15 | Kings | Rupp Arena (Lexington, KY) | 7:00 pm EST | |
October 18 | Cavaliers | Schottenstein Center (Columbus, OH) | 7:00 pm EST | |
October 21 | Raptors | Verizon Center | 7:00 pm EST | CSN |
The exciting news here is not only do the Wizards get three home games (which is more than they usually get) but five of the team’s seven games will be televised, which is an improvement over previous years.
Unfortunately, the most exciting game on the schedule, John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins’ reunion in Lexington, won’t be on TV. But their games against the 76ers, Knicks, Heat, and Raptors should all prove to be interesting games.
