Storylines

This team will not be in awe of the Americans - The Nigerians feature three active NBA players in Al-Farouq Aminu, Ezeli, and Gbinije. However, other players like Diogu, Akognon, Oydeji, and Uzoh also played on NBA rosters in the past. Most of the roster is made up of American players with dual nationalities but have chosen to play for Nigeria.

They beat Argentina in a friendly before Team USA began its friendlies - On July 18, the Nigerians beat Argentina, 96-92 in the first part of a double header in Las Vegas. In the second game on July 20, the Argentines came back and won big time, 101-79. The Nigerians may not have the NBA starpower that an Argentina or France have, but they are more than capable of pulling off upsets.

Who wins?

As long as the Americans don't take the Nigerians for a joke, this should be a comfortable win.

UPDATE:

Al-Farouq Aminu announced that he will not play in the Olympics
