Storylines

Kevin Durant’s finally home -- His new home in the Bay Area that is. This game isn’t going to be exactly like the Warriors’ home opener in the fall, but it will be awfully close. That should be interesting to watch if you’re going to the game tonight.

On that note, Warriors fans get to welcome their stars back and see them leave with a win - I’m sure Warriors fans are not happy to see their team lose to the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 7 of the NBA Finals on their home court. So, assuming Team USA wins, the home crowd gets to see Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, and new-Dallas Maverick Harrison Barnes leave the ROARCLE this summer with a W.

Don’t sleepwalk on China - Team USA dominated Team China from start to finish on Sunday in a 106-57 blowout. Almost everyone was impressive except Paul George and Carmelo Anthony who couldn’t get their shots going. But other than that, they played close to a flawless game.

It’s tempting to assume that the Americans will beat them by 50 again tonight, but again, humans play this game. Even then, I don’t think China has much of a chance to make it competitive, but I hope it’s more of a game than what I saw on Sunday.
