Tuesday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets was Jarell Eddie’s last chance to show why he deserves a spot on the Wizards’ final roster. He made a pretty solid case througout the game for why he should stick around, scoring 16 points and snagging three boards.
However, he saved his best argument came in the final seconds. With the game knotted up at 85, Eddie stripped Rondae Hollis-Jefferson as he drove to the rim and got his layup off before the buzzer to lift the Wizards to an 87-85 win.

Eddie’s salary becomes fully guaranteed on Friday, so if the team didn’t want to pay him, they’d have to waive him by the end of Tuesday night so he could go through the 48-hour waiver process before July 15. We’re guessing the Wizards won’t want to get rid of him after today’s big win.
