The Wizards' off-season just got a little less problematic. You may remember Markieff Morris was detained at a Philadelphia airport last month on suspected marijuana possession, but authorities have announced he won't be charged in the incident.
Law enforcement: Markieff Morris won’t be charged in May incident at PHL. Friend made admission, charged w/ possession of 3.95 oz marijuana— John Gonzalez (@gonzoCSN) June 7, 2016
Law enforcement: Markieff & Marcus Morris & their party took private charter back to PHL on 5/31. Customs agents found marijuana on plane— John Gonzalez (@gonzoCSN) June 7, 2016
Neither Marcus or Markieff will be charged in second incident. A different friend made admission for 5/31 situation involving customs— John Gonzalez (@gonzoCSN) June 7, 2016
Certainly, there will be people who will continue to speculate about what really went down on that plane, but the bottom line is the investigation is over and both Morris and the team can put this behind them. If there were lessons to be learned from whatever happened here, hopefully they've been learned and the same mistakes won't be repeated in the future.
