The Wizards weren’t active in this year’s draft, but they got right to work after the draft ended to sign players to help this year’s Summer League squad.
The Wizards signed two players late on Thursday night. Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical is reporting Danuel House of Texas A&M has signed a deal, and David Aldridge of NBA.com is reporting Sheldon McClellan of Miami has also signed a deal.
McClellan was ranked 60th on DraftExpress this season. He averaged 16.3 points per game as a senior with the Hurricanes and shot 40.6 percent from deep. Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress is reporting McClellan’s deal is partially guaranteed and that he turned down offers to get drafted in the second round because he didn’t want to go down the draft-and-stash path.

Danuel House, a small forward, was ranked 87th on DraftExpress. He averaged 15.6 points per game and shot 30.9 percent from beyond the arc for the Aggies during his senior season.
The challenge for McClellan and House will be playing time, since the Wizards already have Kelly Oubre and Jarell Eddie on the wing who will be looking for playing time in Las Vegas. It should make for a very competitive team for next month’s Summer League action.
UPDATE: The Wizards have also signed Kaleb Tarczewski to a deal, according to David Aldrdige:
Wiz will also sign undrafted Arizona C Kaleb Tarczewski, per source.

Tarczewski was the 99th ranked prospect on DraftExpress’ Top 100 Rankings.
