John Wall doesn't need an award to prove that he does great things in the community. His track record of doing great things in the Washington community speaks for itself.
Still, awards are nice and John Wall is getting a big one from the NBA recognizing his work in the community this season:
John Wall has won the 2015-16 NBA Cares Community Assist Award. He'll be presented the award tmrw afternoon at Bright Beginnings in DC.
— Jorge Castillo (@jorgeccastillo) June 1, 2016
Wall is the fifth player to win the award since it was established as a season-long award in 2012. He now joins Pau Gasol, Dwyane Wade, Stephen Curry and Russell Westbrook as players who have won the award.
As a reward, the John Wall Family Foundation will receive $25,000 which they are donating to Bright Beginnings, a homeless center Wall donated $400,000 to last summer, to help build a new playground according to Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post.
