Main storylines
Washington's backcourt rotation is very iffy - Ivory Latta is injured, but there will be plenty of opportunities for Tayler Hill, Bria Hartley, and Natasha Cloud to step up if Coach Thibault decides to use them.
Meanwhile, Kahleah Copper had a very solid performance in their first pre-season game against the Indiana Fever, scoring 13 points and grabbing 6 rebounds in 18 minutes, against the Indiana Fever on Friday. Lia Galdeira, on the other hand, will need to work very hard to prove that her nine turnovers in 20 minutes in the Indiana game were a fluke. Otherwise, she may not make it on the opening roster.
Some key Mystics are still out - Emma Meesseman is in Belgium resting after UMMC Ekaterinburg won a couple titles. LaToya Sanders is also out.
Expect the Lynx to win this one - I don't like to even type that because we owned the Lynx last year, including the preseason. Anyway, win or loss shouldn't matter tomorrow mainly because Washington still doesn't have most of their roster.
Again, let's keep a close eye on the backcourt rotations because that's an area where they must improve on for 2016 with Latta possibly missing the beginning of the season.
I would also like to see more minutes with Kia Vaughn and Stefanie Dolson on the floor together, but I know that Coach T has to make some tough decisions about the roster, and those two are not in jeopardy of seeing the door close on their WNBA dreams. So expect to see a similar mish-mash of rotations to give the newbies their chance to shine.
