Up and coming teams have a way of finishing seasons strong the year before they make the leap to being a title contender, usually knocking a few current playoff contenders down a peg on their path to relevance.
This month alone, the 23-48 T-Wolves have picked up wins over the playoff-bound Thunder and Grizzlies, and nearly beat the Warriors, the red-hot Hornets, and the Wizards. At times when veteran teams start pacing themselves to prepare for the playoffs of the off-season, Minnesota's young squad is still slamming on the gas.
That all said, the Wizards should still win this game, but they can't treat it like a walk in the park. Minnesota certainly won't, even though they have nothing to play for other than pride and development.

Injury Report
Alan Anderson and Bradley Beal are both questionable for the Wizards.
Kevin Garnett and Nikola Pekovic are out for the T-Wolves.
Most Likely Wizards Killer: Gorgui Dieng
Dieng is averaging 12.1 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.9 blocks, and 1.5 steals per game since the All-Star break. He's done a fine job replacing what the T-Wolves have lost with Garnett and Pekovic on the shelf. If the Wizards don't treat him like a threat, he could burn them tonight.
