Snowzilla, Winter Storm Jonas, Snowmageddon 2016, or whatever you wanna call it hit the Washington, D.C. area during the early afternoon hours on Friday, January 22 through the night of Saturday, January 23. The storm dumped over two feet of snow in areas surrounding the nation's capital and postponed the Wizards' game against the Jazz on that Saturday.
Monumental Sports announced on Friday that the game has finally announced the new date of the game. It will be held on Thursday, February 18 at 7 p.m. ET in Verizon Center.
This will be the Wizards' first game back from the All-Star Break and will be the first game of a back-to-back-to-back which includes a home game against the Pistons the following night, and a road match against the Heat on Saturday.
For the Jazz, the February 18 date is their first game after the All-Star Break as well, but they will not have a back-to-back-to-back. Instead, they will have a one-off road trip out East, then rush back to Salt Lake City the following day for a nationally televised game against the Celtics at 10:30 p.m. ET on Friday.
Tickets for the original date on January 23 will be honored. If fans with tickets cannot attend the game, they may exchange them by contacting the Wizards' ticket office.
