Monday’s loss to the Houston Rockets was disappointing to say the least. The result drops Washington’s record to 1-5, and John Wall was ejected with less than a minute left to go in the game.
However, Wall also reached a major milestone in his career as he dished eight assists to become the Wizards’ all-time leader in career assists with 3,827, five more than former franchise star Wes Unseld who had 3,822. Wall’s 3,822nd assist came early in the third quarter after he passed to Bradley Beal on the fast break.

In addition to passing the ball, Wall also scored 21 points on 9 of 16 shooting. You can see his entire highlight reel here, via FreeDawkins’ YouTube channel.
Obviously, Wall’s performance would have been better if the Wizards won — and if he wasn’t ejected late in the game. But as his highlights indicate, the Wizards are definitely a more dynamic and effective squad with Wall than without him.
