The NBA announced its All-Star Game reserves on Thursday. John Wall was named as a reserve after coaches' votes were calculated for the reserves. Wall averaged 19.6 points and 9.8 assists per game this season.
After a sluggish November, he won Eastern Conference Player of the Month honors in December when he averaged 22.6 points, 11.7 assists, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.3 steals a game that month. When you consider that Wall is putting up these types of numbers on a team that is struggling to get in the playoff picture, it's apparent that Wall is one of the most valuable players to his team in the entire NBA.
Congratulations to John for earing this honor. Hopefully the Wizards' record improves as we continue the second half of the season.
