Wizards vs. Nuggets preview: Washington hosts throwback night as Denver comes to town

Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

The Washington Wizards have been getting in the throwback spirit all season long, but tonight, they're going all out as the Nuggets come to town. They'll be wearing their throwback uniforms, they'll be referred to as the Bullets during the game, and the team brought in DJ Kool and Sugar Bear to perform during halftime.

It should be a fun night, which will hopefully help the Wizards out of their current funk. Playing the 17-29 Nuggets at home should also help them get back on track.

Injury Report

Alan Anderson is out for the Wizards. Bradley Beal and Kris Humphries are day-to-day.

Wilson Chander is out for the Nuggets. Darrell Arthur, Nikola JokicJoffrey Lauvergne and Jameer Nelson are all questionable.

Most likely Wizards Killer: Will Barton

There's just something about Will Barton that screams Wizards Killer to me. He didn't do much against Washington when he was on the Blazers, but now that he's getting a fresh start in Denver, I'm expecting he'll become a much bigger thorn in the Wizards' side. He has the right blend of athleticism and dangerously hot shooting that make him a prime candidate to have a career night against the Wizards on Thursday.
