Telekom Baskets Bonn rejects Aaron White buyout by Maccabi Tel Aviv, according to report

The European super-club recently expressed interest in the second-round draft pick of the Wizards, only to have the offer declined by White's current club, Telekom Baskets Bonn.

On Monday, we wrote about how productive Aaron White has been thus far over in Germany, and it turns out we weren't the only ones to have noticed. According to CSN's J. Michael, Maccabi Tel Aviv recently tried to buy out White's contract with Basketball Bundesliga's Telekom Baskets Bonn, only to have the offer rejected by the German Club.

Maccabi is one of Europe's best basketball clubs (you might have heard that their former coach was recently given a shot at coaching an NBA team), so their interest in White is yet another indicator that he's capable of playing basketball at a high-level. It would have been nice to see him play for a more competitive team (Telekom is just 9-20 in all competitions this season), but the minutes he's guaranteed in Germany mean our copper-coiffed prospect with have plenty of opportunities to develop his game.

White is currently averaging 14, 6, and 1 in 27 minutes per game for Telekom, who currently sit six points (basketball standings are managed like soccer tables overseas) outside of the Bundesliga playoffs.
