John Wall continues to show why he's an awesome human being. He donated $400,000 to Bright Beginnings, Inc. (BBI), an organization that provides education, health, and family services to homeless infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in Washington, D.C.

According to a post on BBI's Facebook page, the money will be used to build a second center for the organization in Ward 8. In the new center, a "John Wall, Wall of Achievement" will highlight "everyday moments of greatness" and achievements from current and past BBI students.
In the post, BBI executive director Betty Jo Gaines stated:
Support from individuals like Mr. Wall, gives Bright Beginnings the encouragement to continue to provide comprehensive services for homeless children in the District of Columbia. It is evident that John Wall is sensitive and concerned about the plight of homeless children in DC and he wants theses children to succeed.
Wall made a surprise visit to BBI on Friday morning to visit with the kids and announce his donation.

Wall pledged to donate $1 million to D.C. charities in 2013 after signing his $80 million extension with the Wizards. I will leave you with a quote from Wall reported by Michael Lee of the Washington Post at the time:
I want to donate my time along with the money. My whole thing is I was put on this earth to be something, and I was blessed to be a great basketball player, but my main thing was to keep striving to be a better person. That’s one thing my mom always instilled in me, it doesn’t matter what nobody thinks about you as a basketball player, they are going to look at you as a person first.
