You know how John Wall had his breakout season last year? He earned a starting spot in the All-Star Game, he had some monster performances against the NBA's best and got national media to care about the Washington Wizards?
All of that development and growth was worth one point, according to NBA 2K16, who bumped up John Wall from an 86 in last year's game to an 87 in this year's edition. The one point boost moved him ahead of players like Damian Lillard, Tony Parker, Rajon Rondo and Derrick Rose, who he ranked behind last season, but it wasn't enough to get him ahead Kyrie Irving, who also jumped up from 86 to 87 this season:

2K's latest rankings just go to confirm what most of us already understand, but really don't want to admit: Stephen Curry, Chris Paul and Russell Westbrook are slightly better than John Wall, and people will debate until the end of time about whether or not he's better than Kyrie Irving. Can't say we blame 2K for taking the easy way out here.
